In the heart of South Beach right on the oceanfront you will find The Setai. This intimate hotel emanates the Art Deco movement and Asian influences in its architecture and design. White sand beaches, pleasure-seeking activities, cafes, night clubs and shopping await you as you step out of the hotel. The Setai is an intimate, serene oceanfront resort in the heart of South Beach. Its design vision artfully combines the rich architectural history of the neighborhood and its cultural diversity with the International Art Deco movement, particularly its influence in Asia.

The Art Deco landmark building was originally built between 1936 and 1938 as the famed Dempsey Vanderbilt Hotel. Next to it is their 40-story glass tower that surpasses all around it in elevation, views and design. The Setai Miami was voted as the #1 hotel on Miami Beach in 2013 by U.S. World & News Report and the #1 Best Hotel in Miami and Miami Beach, as well as the #2 Best Hotel in Florida by Conde Nast Traveler magazine’s 2013 “Reader’s Choice Awards.”

The Setai is located on South Beach at the north end of Miami’s historic Art Deco District. Outside their property lies brilliant white sand beaches as well as the best cultural and pleasure-seeking activities. In the immediate area are about 800 preserved period-buildings, offering a view of Miami’s interpretation of the Art Deco period of the 1920’s and 1930’s. Lincoln Road, with its wealth of shops, cafes and restaurants is only a few blocks away. Built in the 1920’s, it became one of the country’s first pedestrian malls in the 1960’s. It has a life and vitality all its own! Within strolling distance is a range of fine restaurants you can visit. The famous South Beach nightlife begins on Lincoln Road and extends as far as the imagination will take you. Their concierge can recommend shopping options as well as restaurants and nightclubs that suit your taste. Besides helping you decide from the hundreds of choices available on South Beach, they can make reservations and arrange transportation for you.
