    ROOMS & SUITES

    Individually designed to offer the ultimate in privacy and comfort, the rooms and suites are designed with bespoke fabrics, antique furniture, cutting-edge technology and exceptionally comfortable beds. The suites range in size from the Junior and Stanhope Suites to the generous Dorchester Suites and the famous Oliver Messel Suite. Each room has views of Hyde Park or Mayfair, while the white Italian marble bathrooms are said to feature the deepest bathtubs in London. Bathrooms are welcoming and spacious, offering an exceptional combination of style and function. They are predominantly made in Italian marble and designed in the classic art deco style – echoing the hotel’s 1930’s origins.

    The largest of the three roof suites, The Harlequin is made up of a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and dressing room, a dining room, living room, bar and large outside terrace overlooking Hyde Park. Two sets of French doors lead onto the terrace and flood the room with natural light. It was in this very room that Elizabeth Taylor received the news of her record-breaking, multi-million pound deal to star in the epic Cleopatra and the suite still glows with Hollywood glamour! The dining room seats 8 which features a bespoke crystal chandelier by Metalarté, echoing the fabled diamond collection of Ms Taylor. The master dressing room has ample closet space with two walnut semainiers and dressing table. The luxurious master bathroom features black Nero Marquina floors with underfloor heating, walls of book-matched white Arabescato Oro marble slabs, white onyx vanities and a large freestanding bath with polished chrome contemporary tap ware and a state-of-the-art shower toilet by Geberit. The Harlequin Suite is available as a two-bedroom suite and the second bedroom still has the original pink marble bathroom that was installed for Elizabeth Taylor.

    The recently refurbished Dorchester and Park Suites demonstrate a classic English residential design and spirit. With reference to the park beyond your window, the revitalised suites are lighter, fresher and more contemporary, while respecting the hotel’s proud heritage. The Roof Suites suggest a modern take on 1930’s glamour, with a private terrace and breath-taking views across London.     Superior King Rooms

    These rooms for single occupancy have all the luxuries of Superior Queen rooms, but are larger. These have more storage and are suitable for the longer stay. With their king-size beds, they are fitted to a high standard with all the latest amenities. The rooms look out over Mayfair.

    Deluxe King Rooms

    Our Deluxe King Rooms are finely appointed and the generosity of space makes these rooms ideally suited to guests who stay with us for a long period of time. The rooms have views of Mayfair, as well as Hyde Park. The airy bathrooms are all equipped with two wash basins and most of the rooms have separate walk in showers.

    Executive Deluxe King Rooms

    With views over Hyde Park or Mayfair, these are the largest of the double rooms. There is plenty of closet space and several rooms have walk-in wardrobes with king-size four-poster beds. They all have generous bathrooms with deep baths and walk-in showers. A comfortable and spacious working area makes these rooms ideally suited to the business guest.

    Junior Suites

    Our Junior suites have two variations, the newly refurbished 21 type with a large room and seating area and the 32 type with a distinct bedroom and seating area divided by a sliding silk curtain to offer privacy between the two areas. Each Junior Suite is fitted with a king sized bed, marble bathrooms, a small dressing room and views over London’s Mayfair.

    Stanhope Suites

    The Stanhope Suites feature a separate bedroom, sitting room and marble bathroom. Spacious and comfortable with king or twin beds, the sitting room features a writing desk, comfortable chair and sofa. The Stanhope suite is situated at the rear of The Dorchester with views over Mayfair.

    Park Lane Suites

    The Park Lane Suites are situated at the front of the hotel with excellent views along Park Lane and over Hyde Park. These suites all feature a separate sitting room with a small dining area and marble bathrooms. The Park Lane Suites are characterised by a beautiful four-poster bed.

    Mayfair Suites

    Situated on the front corner of the hotel with views across the rooftops of London’s Mayfair, the Stanhope Suites feature light and spacious sitting rooms with charming seats in the projecting window bowers, a dining area and marble guest bathrooms. The Mayfair Suites are fitted with king or twin beds and also feature a large marble bathroom.

    Park View Suites

    Our Park View Suites are characterised by their splendid wood-panelled sitting rooms and distinct dining area which provide an atmosphere of quality and tradition. In addition to the en-suite marble bathroom, there is also a spacious guest bathroom for convenience

    Dorchester Suites

    These beautiful suites are the pride of The Dorchester. The large sitting room has distinct areas for comfortable seating and elegant dining. The suites all feature marble ensuite bathrooms that are notably luxurious and spacious with natural daylight, four poster beds are also a highlight of most suites.

    Oliver Messel Suite

    The Oliver Messel Suite, created by the eponymous theatre designer, is one of the most celebrated hotel suites in London. This magical suite on the 7th floor has been favoured for half a century by such illustrious guests as Marlene Dietrich, Noel Coward, Bob Hope and Sylvester Stallone.

    Audley Suite

    Refurbished by Alexandra Champalimaud, this one bedroom suite consists of a sitting room, cocktail bar, study, dressing room, ensuite master bathroom and an outside terrace. The bedroom in the Audley Suite features a modern four poster bed designed by Christian Liagre and the bathroom includes a heated marble floor, Aquavision TV and a rain shower. From the large balcony, this suite overlooks London and Mayfair with views of St Pauls and Canary Wharf.

    Terrace Suite

    This one-bedroom suite features a master bedroom with an ensuite bathroom and dressing room, a dining room, living room, bar and large outside terrace. The Terrace Suite also has some unique features such as a bathroom that links directly to the terrace, a master bedroom that extends into a private conservatory and the pièce de resistance, a high-ceilinged octagonal dressing room. The master bathroom features a Kohler Chromatherapy Riverbath tub set in black moonstone, which can accommodate two. Private Lite windows in the bathroom can be made either opaque or clear for privacy or views onto the private terrace while 37 fibre optic lights above the tub change colour to make bathing an experience to remember. The terrace, overlooking Hyde Park towards Knightsbridge, features a Zen stone water feature, dramatic topiary and atmospheric lighting in the evening.

    Harlequin Suite

    The Spa

    The Dorchester Spa was reopened in 2009 after a complete transformation; bringing an exclusive pampering destination to London. Exuding 1930s Art Deco glamour, combined with a contemporary edge, design is inspired by the iconic British style of The Dorchester.

    Unique aspects include a chandelier of south-pacific pearls and an indulgent Spatisserie with the ethos ‘a little bit of what you love is good for you’. Signature facials are by Carol Joy London, whilst other treatments are offered by European skincare brand Kerstin Florian exclusively to London and alongside acclaimed British brand,Aromatherapy Associates.

    The spa also features nine spacious treatment rooms including two double suites, a manicure-pedicure suite, a sleek relaxation room, male and female aromatic steam rooms and male and female experience showers.

    The Fitness Studio is equipped with TechnoGym resistance equipment and cardio vascular equipment with integrated televisions as well as a full set of free weights, Swiss Balls, a Bosu Ball and various Medicine Balls.
