The Ritz London offers three distinctive venues for dining and imbibing: The Ritz Restaurant, The Palm Court, and The Rivoli Bar. With a culinary heritage originating with the first true master chef, Auguste Escoffier, to this day his lavish ‘Palace Style’ cooking is served with aplomb in the Ritz Restaurant, described as ‘the most beautiful hotel dining room in the world’.

The Palm Court, at the heart of the hotel, remains London’s most pivotal social point as the venue for the famed Afternoon Tea at The Ritz – a quintessential British experience! The Rivoli Bar is an intimate and sophisticated Art Deco cocktail lounge where brilliant bartenders expertly craft cocktails to a soft soundtrack of swinging jazz. For those wishing to celebrate a special occasion in a fittingly grand fashion there are few better ways than indulging in an exclusive soiree within the resplendent private dining rooms of The Ritz London.

    Ritz 16The Ritz Restuarant

Is a magnificent bastion of the culture of classical service and a dining room of unadulterated opulence created in reverence to haute cuisine. Established by Auguste Escoffier, one of history’s most influential chefs, The Ritz Restaurant is considered by many to be the most beautiful hotel dining room in the world and features towering marble columns, soaring floor to ceiling windows, vast kaleidoscopic ceiling frescoes, gilded neoclassical statues and a spectacular garland chandelier that envelops diners within a halo of light. The classical and indulgent ‘palace style’ cuisine popularized by Escoffier is perpetuated today by Executive Chef, John Williams MBE. Chef Williams’s menus offer sensational contemporary incarnations of classical French dishes using the finest seasonal British ingredients.

    Ritz 16The Palm Court

At the heart of The Ritz London lies The Palm Court, an elegant salon originally designed as a destination for glamorous guests from high society to ‘see and be seen’. Originally known as the Winter Garden, The Palm Court is a dramatic room of fanciful design, flanked by high walls of gleaming mirrors, a ceiling seemingly woven together with intricate gilded trellis, romantic birdcage chandeliers adorned with ornate metal flowers, a striking stone fountain inhabited by large gilded statues and at the centre of the room a soaring, vibrant floral display.

The Palm Court remains a pivotal social point as the venue for the famed Afternoon Tea at The Ritz, an institution in itself and the quintessential British experience.

    Ritz 15The Rivoli Bar

Likened to a ‘gorgeous little jewel box’, The Rivoli Bar is an intimate cocktail lounge secluded from bustling Piccadilly, which is located immediately outside but feels a world away. The Rivoli Bar is overtly Art Deco in its design, a sophisticated symphony of camphor wood walls inset with illuminated Lalique glass panels, patterned mirrors, decorative bas relief and an under lit bar topped with polished cocktail shakers, all overarched with brilliant gilded ceiling domes.

The bartenders of The Rivoli Bar are experts in the craft of the cocktail, utilizing premium spirits, homemade cordials and bitters, bespoke glassware, uniquely shaped ice and seemingly boundless imagination to create new concoctions or reinterpret old classics.

    Ritz 16The Dress Code

The Ritz London operates a dress code in specific areas of the Hotel. A formal dress code is upheld in The Palm Court and during lunch and dinner service in The Ritz Restaurant. In these areas gentlemen are required to wear a jacket and tie whilst jeans are not permitted.
